The passion for fashion accompanies Marta since her tender age. When she was a child, Marta loved to steal with the eyes the tricks of her grandmother’s trade, who worked as a seamstress. The fabrics between the experienced hands of her grandmother used to become wonderful dresses. To Marta the magic emanated from these fabrics represented such a strong attraction that it could not remain only a childhood dream. So at the beginning of her adolescence she enrolls at the Spoleto’s Institute of Arts “Leoncillo Leonardi”, in the weaving section. As soon as the school ends she decides to join the Fashion designer course of the IED in Rome, to give vent to her creativity.
During her university educational path she has the chance to fully live the world of fashion. She takes part in many fashion shows, organized by the IED. Moreover she tailored a dress for her graduation thesis, which has been chosen from IKE’ UDE’ and eventually worn by Isabella Ferrari. The freshly graduated Marta begins in 2008 to embark in the world of work. Everything begins with the company Phisique du Role in Rome, where she designs sportswear Collections both for men and women. Then she works with Pepoli Prèt a Porter, with Essemaglia in collaboration with Marra di Ripa Bianca and Fabiana Filippi Cashmere. Thanks to this last employment Marta has the chance to come back in her hometown, Spoleto. After a long partnership with the brand Fabiana Filippi, Marta decides to move to the German capital to let her biggest dream come true: creating her own fashion brand. The young designer knows what she wants and the inspiration strikes her on a flight from Berlin to Rome. She noticed that the women on the plane with her kept taking off and on jackets and pullovers because of the temperature leaps. Here Marta has an idea, the idea of transformation.
Her dresses will be convertible ones, they will be able to adapt both to the body that wears them and to the situation in which they are worn. They will be disassembled with zips. Creativity and comfort will become the key words of this project. In Berlin Marta met the woman who will give birth to her sketches, the seamstress Suzan Basbay. Thanks to Suzan, Marta gets acquainted with Andrea, a Berliner business manager, who has always harbored in her heart the passion for fashion. So while her work could not be more distant from Marta’s one, she begins to collaborate in the business field for the Zampolini brand, pushed only by a strong passion.
The support of these two women gives Marta the inspiration for the concept of her brand. However Marta doesn’t forget his origins and even if life has brought her to Berlin, she is able to create an axis between the cities, of which her staff and all the young talents who study or work in their own competence settings are the main testimonials. In 2013, thanks to an excellent team and the designer’s own creativity and experience, the first collection of the brand Zampolini “First Time” was presented in Rome with an exclusive photo shoot. The photographer Mario Caponi, the makeup artist Daisy Calleja and the models Maria Vittoria Cassioli, an influencer with more than 250.000 followers, Daniela, Soleida, Elena and Alessandra contribute to value the project, result of a long and hard work, surely filled of big satisfactions.
She exhibited at New York Fashion Week with the collection Lost in Town Collection SS17, at Milan Fashion Week with the Passport Collection SS16 and at Vancouver Fashion Week with the collection Ain’t No Other Woman SS15. She and her work have been featured in international fashion magazines such as Vogue UK, Elle, Glamour Magazine UK, Glamour Brazil, TUStyle and Raine.
